Since the punishment of the forgetful and the negligent is rationally unacceptable in Islamic theology, the interpreters of the Qur’an explain the verse Baqarah/2: 286[1] and answer the question: “Why believers should ask forgiveness for their mistakes caused by forgetfulness or negligence?” The exegetes of the Old Testament ask the similar question: “Why Uzzah was punished for his mistake of unintentionally touching the Ark of the Covenant?” Comparing the views of both groups shows that they try to bring an intellectual interpretation through which God’s justice may not be criticized. In addition, comparing the verse 2: 286 and the story of Uzzah will clear the theological story of the issue and then the punishment of Uzzah may be considered an exegetical example of the verse.<br /><strong> </strong><br /> <br />  از پرسش‌های مفسران قرآن‌کریم و عهد عتیق، نقش نیت مکلف در مجازات الهی است. با توجه به اینکه مؤاخذه بر فراموشی و خطا از نظر عقلی ناپسند است، پرسش مفسران قرآن کریم دربارۀ آیۀ ۲۸۶ سورۀ بقره این است که چرا مؤمنان در فقرۀ «ربنا لا تؤاخذنا ان نسینا او أخطأنا» برای فراموشی و خطای خود از خداوند پوزش می­طلبند؟ مفسران عهد عتیق نیز در مواجهه با ماجرای عزه پرسشی مشابه دارند:‌ چرا عزه علی‌رغم اینکه نیت سوئی نداشت، برای لمس ناخواستۀ تابوت عهد مجازات شد؟ مقایسۀ آرای مفسران عهد عتیق و قرآن بیانگر آن است که هر دو گروه سعی در ارائۀ تفسیری عقلانی داشته‌اند، تا اصل عدل الهی مورد خدشه قرار نگیرد. همچنین با مقایسۀ آیۀ ۲۸۶ بقره و ماجرای عزه، پیشینۀ الاهیاتی این موضوع روشن‌تر گشته و می‌توان مجازات عزه را به عنوان نمونه‌ای از مصادیق تفسیری آیۀ شریفه عنوان نمود. https://jqst.ut.ac.ir/article_89353_6e87e3566bf2a3c0b3dad33dd319b537.pdf
