These traditions imply absolute submission and obedience to the orders and prohibitions expressed by the Infallible Imams (a.s.). In the light of the pivotal role of reason in Shi'a thought regarding the assessment and acceptance of religious issues, lack of a correct specification of the aforementioned traditions intensifies a seeming contradiction between submission and intellectualism that leads to a reduction in the status of reason. Therefore, it is an inevitable necessity to discover the true meaning of submission and illustrate its accurate boundaries through a sound knowledge of some essentialities and a comprehensive analysis of the religious teachings. In addition to provision of the typology of submission traditions, the study at hand explicates the content of each type through a descriptive-analytical method. The results of this study reveal that submission to the Infallibles (a.s.) is not equal to undue obedience, suspension of reason, or ignorant acceptance. Rather, the favorable submission is a voluntary act that is based on intellectual explorations and is a product of intellectual arguments. تسلیم در برابر معارف بیان­شده توسط پیشوایان دینی، موضوعی است که بسیاری از روایات شیعی بر آن تأکید کرده­اند. این روایات، بر تسلیم محض و فرمان­برداری کامل در برابر اوامر و نواهی معصومان^(ع) دلالت دارند. نظر به محوریت عقل در تفکر شیعی برای سنجش و پذیرش موضوعات دینی، فقدان تبیین درست از روایات پیش­گفته، تقویت انگارۀ­ تعارض تسلیم­پذیری و عقل­گرایی و تضعیف منزلت عقل را موجب می‌شود. بنابراین کشف معنای حقیقی تسلیم­پذیری و تحدید مرزهای واقعی آن که با نگاهی جامع به آموزه­های دینی و آگاهی از برخی مقدمات صورت می­گیرد، ضرورتی انکارناپذیر به شمار می­رود. پژوهش پیش­رو، ضمن گونه­شناسی روایات تسلیم­پذیری، مفاد هر یک از گونه­ها را با روش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی بیان می­کند تا مشخص شود که تسلیم در برابر معصومان^(ع) به معنای اطاعت بی­دلیل و به معنای تعطیلی عقل و پذیرش جاهلانه نیست، بلکه تسلیمِ مطلوب، امری اختیاری و مبتنی بر کاوش­های عقلی و برهان‌های عقلایی است. https://jqst.ut.ac.ir/article_66083_dbea30c135dc17aaf7885bf81de5668a.pdf
