Benefitting from Quranic verses and hadiths of the infallible-innocent personalities, the present essay speaks of characteristics of spirit and aims at discovering the nature and existential reality of Spirit and, thereby, attaining the utmost knowledge of human spirit. According to teachings of the Quran and hadiths, Spirit is an independent existent, is endowed with life, knowledge, and power; is from the world of command (amr), and is from divine kingdom. It is not included in angels, but rather is a creature greater than them and in a single reality which has various levels and degrees. A higher level of Spirit accompanies the holy prophet and holy Imams and teaches, informs, and guides them whenever the Almighty wills. Also, all human beings are endowed with a spirit whose existence is definite. Spirit of all men is apparently originated by a spirit which is higher than other spirits and is the elected spirit of God. چنان‌که از کاربردهای روح در آیات قرآن و پاره‌ای از روایات پیداست، مقصود از روح در آن‌ها غیر از روح انسانی است. مقال? حاضر در بار? ویژگی‌های روح، با استفاده از آیات قرآن کریم و احادیث معصومان (ع) سخن می‌گوید و هدف از آن پی بردن به چگونگی و حقیقت وجودی روح و از رهگذر آن، دستیابی به شناخت هرچه بیشتر در بار? روح انسانی است. براساس آموزه‌های قرآن و حدیث، روح، موجودی مستقل، دارای حیات، علم و قدرت، از جنس امر و از ملکوت است. روح از زمر? فرشتگان نیست بلکه آفریده‌ای بزرگتر از آن‌ها و حقیقتی واحد است که مراتب و درجات گوناگون دارد؛ مرتب? والایی از روح، همراه رسول خدا(ص) و ائم? پس از اوست که هر زمان که خداوند اراده کند، ایشان را آموزش می‌دهد، موفق می‌نماید، باخبر می‌سازد و راهنمایی‌ می‌کند. همچنین هم? انسان‌ها برخوردار از روحی هستند که وجود آن امری قطعی است و ظاهراً روحِ هم? آن‌ها از روحی که برتر از سایر ارواح و روح برگزید? خداست، نشأت گرفته است. https://jqst.ut.ac.ir/article_30571_64e836f13f8ce5b722f6d23a38b187e3.pdf
